pH is the acidity of a solution. based on amount of hydrogen (hence the H)
pH 1-6 is acidic and pH8-14 is basic
so anything less than 7 is an acid and anything above 7 is a base.
7 is neutal and would be water.

A PH measures the acicidy or alkaline of a substance. A PH scale goes from 1 - 14
A PH of one would indicate very strong acid, the higher the PH goes (before 7) the weaker the acid. At 7 the solution is neutral (water has a PH of 7) At 8 is is slightly alkaline and at 14 is is very alkaline.
So, the further away from 7 it is, the stronger the acid/ alkali

ph is a measure of the acidity of a solution
pH = -log[H+]
if
ph<7 acidic
ph=7 neutral
ph>7 alkaline

pH is the negative logarithm of hydrogen ion concentration of a solution. 7 in the pH scale means that the solution is neutral. If the value is <7 then it means that the solution is acidic, while pH being>7 means that the solution is acidic
e.g. the pH of water is 7, of blood it is 7.4 and 13 if HCl

pH tell us "How much acidic or basic a solution is?"
7 pH is the mean position which tell us that the solution is neutral
If it crosses 7 pH mark upward (towards 8) the solution will be alkaline in nature.
And if it crosses 7 pH mark downward. the solution will be acidic in nature
because
pH=-log[conc. of H+ or OH- ions]

ph: is known as hydrogen ion concentration
it is refers to the degree of acidity or alkalinity of the chemical solution and mediums of microorganisms cultures
it is calculated by numbers from 1:14 . if the number is under 7 it refers that this solution is acid.if the number more than 7 it refers that this solution is alkaline . if the number is 7 it refers to the neutralization of this solution (like water).

ph is the measure of how Acidic or Alkalinic a substance is. It is a scale from 1 to 14. Seven(7) means the substance is NEUTRAL. one (1) means it is ACIDIC whereas 14 means it is ALKALINE. You get the picture.

it is the measure of the H+ ion concentration
or the measure of the acidity
pH=-Log[conc.H+ ions]
if the pH increases more than 7 than it turns basic
