Teenagers, we were best friends. Young adults, we were soul mates… until I decided to travel around the world and leave him behind. We both got married and had kids – separately. Briefly exchanged calls and e-mails during the past 10 years – but in mid-2007, we are invited to a "get together party" from our old school. I love him (as in truly care for him) and missed him so much, but after 10 years, we are more like strangers. If you were him, how would you react?

I would happily greet u with a warm hug. Have some drinks and reminisce the good old days with u. I would ask u to keep in touch with me and will invite u and ur family to have dinner with us some day.

exactly the same . life moves on ; just as you and him have .
you can't fill a void ! accept it and move --- and by all means be friendly ; but you might find that it will all peter out --- for the best methinks . good luck .
