When 2 metals slide over eachother with maximum force naturally sound comes due to friction. Same thing happens here when the steel tyres slide over iron tracks that too when brackes are applied friction comes into the act and sound happens
The smell is due to the heat and spark produced. Heat is produced due to friction. When you heat iron, it has a smell. It is not unpleasant. I'm a railfan and I enjoy the smell.

The sound is of the train farting as there are too many people on board than it was originally designed to carry.
The smell is of the **** left behind by all local trains when they have finished farting.

there's no smell involved anywhere except when the train slows down near a public toilet =))
as for the sound - its the sound of the train speeding up - whethr it's a good sound - if you like it or not - that's for u to decide....
please don't make up questions just for the sake of asking questions
