No man has seen His face. All these pics of him with long hair and blue eyes etc... whatever!!! He does not look like that!
Revelations 1:13-16
1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one] like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
1:14 His head and [His] hairs [were] white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes [were] as a flame of fire;
1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and His voice as the sound of many waters.
1:16 And He had in His right hand seven stars: and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and His countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength. (KJV translation)

There are two descriptions of Jesus by writers from his time who saw him, but they are slightly different. One of the people who described him was a fairly famous Greek historian, and the other was a Roman official. Rome had recently taken over the area, and there was still a strong Greek presence.
Yes, there really is historical proof of the physical existence of Jesus at that time, outside of the Bible. Typically, the written descriptions are of one who was tall for the time, lighter skinned than most, and had Grey eyes. One description has him with light brown straight hair, the other with medium brown hair wavy hair. There were no known paintings or depictions of Jesus when he was on earth, only two written descriptions survive.
People see and paint Jesus as they would like him to be. In the USA, most of the depictions are based on French and Italian Renaissance painters depictions.

We actually have seen him, because he does exist. Portraits of him vary, but there are some versions where even in Ethiopia from the early centuries, he's shown as dark-skinned.

people of race wanted us to believe he was white because they felt superior over us but if you read the bible it Tell's the real color of Jesus and that is why church's don't have pictures of him in them to much I know black church's don't. those are icons , there was a big argument about this in the Catholic church about wither or not it was idol worship but they decided its only a symbol of the real Christ who was a real son of man unlike religions like Islam where they don't allow a depiction of Alla or Mohammad. [but they allow TV images and posters of religion/political leaders]!
