The nunchuk is an additional controller that plugs into the wiimote. It has a joystick, 2 buttons and is motion sensitive.
If you buy the Wii you get one with the console in addition to the wiimote, not all games use the nunchuk.
I have to say the Wii is great fun having had one since launch in the UK.
Over Christmas everyone who has come round, Even those who don't normally play computer games, have had a great laugh playing.
Its a fresh look at playing computer games. i also have a 360 and that's great at what it does and the Wii is great as what it does.
Don't expect a system the power of the 360 or the PS3 but what you can expect is something that will put a huge smile on the face of anyone who plays it.
Don't pay over-exaggerated prices though as they will soon be back in stock if they are sold out at the moment.

for some games you need to have a nunchuck to play. It connects to your wii remote controller.
It has a joystick on it and a couple of buttons, it is also motion sensitive like the remote.
I use it in Call of Duty 3. It's good, you move around with the nunchuck and aim with the remote.
I think the Wii is great. But i wouldn't buy one off ebay, they're too expensive on there at the moment.

The only nunchakus I know are the martial arts weapons. You know, the two sticks around 14" long joined at one end with a cord about 4" long. Possibly you're thinking of something else
