Not at all....my household which is made up of 3 teenagers and myself (MUM) has the word "gay" flying around constantly. It seems to be a word used with so many different meanings these days.
PS...I have a sneaking suspicion that my eldest son is gay. Good on him I say

A word is like a hammer. It can be a helpful tool for building or a harmful weapon for injuring. How it is used and what it is used for depends on the person and how he or she wields it.

"Gay" means nothing to me unless you use it in a sentence... after that, how you use the word will determine how I feel about the word.

I am gay and proud of it, some young people use therm loosely to describe something bad, I wont get it , its like using ice cream flavor to describe rotten milk. The other day roommate said that her laptop was being gay, My answer: Wonderful wish mine was on that stage :)

I think it is rather ignorant and inconsiderate to say 'gay', but am not personally offended by it.
