I am on the last chapter in my short story I am writing but everytime I sit down to finish it, its like I can't concentrate on it. I just can't get past this one sentence. Any suggestions to get me motivated again?

Don't beat yourself up over one sentence. Put down something even if it is not perfect or just skip it and go on. Once you get going again with another portion of your story you might get inspiration to quickly go back and finish that portion. You might also try sleeping on it. The mind can work miracles overnight. Keep up the hard work. When will your story be available?

I think many writers or artists in general go through this all the time. Take some time away from what ur doing even if u like it a lot. A few hours, a few days....whatever. Just go do something else that u like to do and don't focus on what ur writing. Ull probably end up getting a great idea for ur ending and it'll help you relax.

You may have a kind of separation anxiety--no, really, I'm serious :-) If you've enjoyed writing your story, some part of you may not want to finish it. If that's the case, one "cure" would be to jot down notes for another story that you can write once you finish this one, so you have more creativity to look forward to.

just write something down following that danged sentance! who knows, it might be good enough to finish the story, or it may suck enough that it'll give you a nice motivation and inspiration to finish it off properly.

Should walk away take a break don't think on it too much... it'll come to you.... maybe trying too hard.
