I thought it was well-researched, well-written and definitely a page turner! I love the details about the historical places, paintings and people. I also liked how he put in a lot of facts to work with his fictional story. Overall, I thought it was really good!
You might find Dan Brown's other novels a little disappointing though. I felt that it ran on the same track as The Da Vinci Code novel.

I thought it was exceptionally entertaining. I felt the ending of the plot was a little bit weak though...it was much more captivating near the beginning.
However, after reading one of Dan Brown's other novels, "Angels and Demons"....the Da Vinci Code could not compare with its greatness. I highly recommend it...the twist at the end is great.

The notion that there might be something behind Christianity than what it appears to be should be entertaining enough but I think Mr. Brown already had the movie in his mind when he was wrtiting the book. The book is rather a whore for commercialism. The plot is very weak and its entertainment value very cheap. But nonetheless, it can entertain. The movie? I kept itching to wash Tom Hanks' hair because it looked so oily.

I liked it as a whole. The plot was well drawn and the characters well rounded. It was slow at times, but I enjoyed the ride. Brown did a lot of research into art history and symbology for the book. His effort shows.

The first time I read it I thought it was really interesting and quite a page turner. The second time I read it I didn't like it nearly as much because once I got passed the theories and such, which I found interesting, the story was fairly average itself.

I loved the historical details and the theory behind the book, and I found the "factual" information really, really interesting. I thought the plot was silly and predictable, though. Of course they fall in love.... Of course the guy they thought was their friend is the bad guy... And of course the good guys win! (Puke) Dan Brown is an excellent researcher and an awful writer, in my opinion.

I thought it was over-rated. Yes, it made a huge controversy because it went against the church, but so has many other novels. I've read better.

Good FICTION. It was fun to speculate and let the imaginations run wild. Kept me entertained for a weekend.
Extremely historically inaccurate, though. And the movie was disappointing.

Yes, I like it and I think it was well written. Though I only saw the movie but never read the book.
