As a college student, I have limited storage space, especially as a girl in need of closet room. I, did however come across something very handy. Fabric shelves that hang over a closet rod are easy to organize and get to your shoes. They have 10 shelves, 1 for each pair of shoes, and are only about 5 inches wide. It is a very convenient way to store shoes. It is also inexpensive. I got mine at Wal-Mart for maybe $10 or so.
