I was on it for four years. I went to Kariva (BCP) and after two pill packs I started menstruating again (YAY).
Are you now off it in order to conceive? Or are you trying another contraceptive?
It could take years to finally become pregnant. OR you could become pregnant as soon as the shot wears off.

When I stop taking the depo shot it took my period 3 months to return

I came of the depo about 7 to 8 monthes ago only had a bit of breakthrough bleeding, my doctor told me it can take up to 12 monthes for your body to return to a normal cycle, since then I gone on pill and still only had one period.

this is 2nd hand info so take it as such but I have been told 3 mo - 6 mo. due to the shot slowly wearing off

Everyone's different, my friend got hers back in about a month. For me, I've been off mine two months and I haven't gotten it yet, but it can stay gone as long as it wants I don't miss it.

could be right away, could be 12-18 months, it all depends. each woman is different
