If your scared about it hurting then maybe your not ready? I heard the same thing when I was younger (13-15) and I felt like the person telling me to hold off was just saying it because its what is "supposed" to be said to younger girls to try to prevent them from having sex to young. Now at 22 years old, and had lost my virginity at 17 I wish I would have waited.
To answer your question though, yes it does hurt, especially if your tense and worried during the first time (which everyone usually is) if the guy knows what he's doing, and gets you aroused enough, through four play and such, it helps out and you may just feel some discomfort.
My advice to you though, but yet who am I to be listening to right? Hold off, think about how great it would be to share such a sacred, beautiful thing, with the person you know you will share the rest of your life with.
Also not only physically can sex be painful, but emotionally as well, and thats what can hurt the most. If your just looking to lose your virginity, just to get it over it, theres nothing anyone can say or do to make you change your mind. But I garauntee later on in life you will regret it when you do meet that person your going to spend the rest of your life with.
Sorry I got off track from your question, but most likely its going to hurt and you will possibly bleed a little, expect soreness the next morning also. Be safe about it and use protection, and if he doesn't want to or tries to tell you it feels better without, he's lying and doesn't care about you at all. Hope I helped somewhat, take care.

The amount of pain will depend on a few things:
The thickness of your hymen
The amount of lubrication in your vagina
The skill of your partner
Your level of relaxation
Nothing you can do about the first one- as for the rest, LOTS of foreplay (an hour at least!), go S-L-O-W, use a condom- and make sure this is what you want, with whom you want it, and when you want it. If you aren't 100% positive, your body will know that, and it will tense up and then it will hurt REAL BAD. You've got to be relaxed.
But if you're 100% and follow all other advice, it shouldn't be much of anything- you'll probably be tender for a few days afterwards, and might have some light bleeding or spotting.
Wait a week or so before trying for a second attempt. And it might hurt some the second time- it took three times for me before my hymen was fully broken.

It depends on the couple. When it was my first time it didn't hurt, but he wasn't all too big. My now husband is a lot bigger and the first time with him (and I had quite a few partners between) was a bit painful.
My sister said it hurt for her first time.
I believe it hurts for a number of reasons:
Breaking of the hymen - which now days a lot of girls lose through use of tampons/horse riding etc...
Size of man to woman
Stress - If you are stressed about it and not 100% ready, then it may hurt, as your muscles will be tense and stuff.
And as the previous poster said, and I am sure you have already considered, don't forget to use protection as it only takes one time to get pregnant or std's.

Yes it will hurt. Just please make sure you use a condom.... and go to the gyno and let them give you a HPV shot to prevent you from getting cervical cancer... even if a man uses a condom you can still get the virus if one of the women he has been with before has it. Don't let him go to fast or you will not enjoy yourself. You be in control.... If you have to ask this question then maybe you aren't ready... just let it happen naturally. If you aren't ready it is ok to say no, if he leaves you know he was only out for one thing!

Yes it will hurt. How much depends on you, it may be a little or a lot. If it hurts too much, stop. You may have to get used to it. Be very careful and use protection. I also got pregnant my first time and I was only 16. Only do it if you feel comfortable, if your not ready don't force yourself.

Nope, when you turn 16, I would ask your doc about it. But youre definately nawt abnormal until about 18. Im 12 and havent started (everyone says for me it should be really soon) but ive heard its normal to start between 9-16. Dont worry though, my cousin didnt start until she was 14. :) Good luck <3

Well to me yes it will hurt,, But kinda in a good way if you are in love. Please use protection NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!! u say he's been with other people rite.. And any way ,, on the real the first time I ever did it.. I WAS PREGNET.. NOT 2 or 3 times..No No.. the first time ever....

it depends if the guy is big or not haha.. my 1st time the guy was like 9 1/2 inches and yah it hurt and i bled but after that heals and you do it again it feels really good. :) just make sure hes not too big haha hell stretch you out.

it will only hurt if you are not lubed enough and if he is not patient with you. by the way... you should only be having sex if YOU are ready, Not if he is ready and wants you to have sex with him. Use protection! You are too young to have babies to take care of. You need to take care of yourself.

well, if you havent practiced with a dildo or fingers b4, then it will hurt a little. if he breaks your hymen, which is perfectly natural, it might bleed a lil, but aside from that, it wont hurt that bad, and it will feel very good i promise
