other side links to something you dont have because you are or whoever it is ,is not on the other side (which means a different place but better than where you already are)but on the side where the grass is not green (the place reffered to as where the person whom the speaker is speaking to or lets say where someone realy unlucky is right now) and which means that there might be a different but better destiny for a person in another place or so

The feeling that it is is true, but its not nessecerely true that it really is greener. The reason to this is the human inability to be satisfied with what she/he has. This is what makes us so powerful.

It is a metaphor for being jealous of something somebody else has, or they are not satisfied with their own situation and believe others have it better than them. It can be either true or false depending on the circumstances.

True for some people. There are those who are not happy with themselves and always envy what someone else has.
Then there are some who are content with their lives and they like their lawns just fine.
Then there are those, like me, who are doing okay but there are certain points of interest that could use improvement.

more money, more problems... so lets all just be content with what we have or at least let our lives move at their own pace and stop being envious of what others have.. waste of valuable energy...
