How can a make an easy homemade hamster cage for a syrian hamster? I don't have any fish tanks or those tools to drill into something to make all that complicated stuff.

ahhh well worse comes to worse you can go get one of those $5 dollar plastic storage containers from walmart and use that for a cage (For the love of god if you do this drill holes in the top so it can breathe!) that's what they use in the back of petsmarts to keep their small animals that aren't on display in. but I think the hamster would be happer in something other then that.. better: go scout yard sales/garage sales, used shops, you can get great deals on fish aquariums (I found a 20 gal. one for $5 once and used that for my hamters).

Keep in mind that hamsters can chew through almost anything except metal and sheeted glass--through wood, through plastic if it gets a good tooth-hold, and definitely through cardboard. Whatever you do, don't paint whatever cage you make, because the hamster will chew it and end up eating the paint and getting sick.

A shoe box would work fine. . .until you buy a real hamster cage from the store

I really wouldnt recommend ''making'' a hamster cage. Your hamster could get hurt, or even bite its way out.

avoide thin plastic and cardboard for more than one day... If they want to...they will chew their way to freedom.
Its best to buy one at the pets store honestly. Unless you have chicken wire or something of the sorts....but its still not always safe.

UMMM... get ur lazy but off hte comp and go buy a cage!!!! th hammy cood easily get out of a box or n e thing but a cage!!! they dooo have teeth that they can chew outta stuff with common sense go buy a cage they r only like 20$!!!!!!!! ~~~~~duh
