The Clash was such a powerful live band, I have to answer it this way...
for studio recordings, yeah, London Calling is up there, Death or Glory, those'd be my top 2 picks, many others are just a whisker under that.
For live stuff, White Man in Hammersmith Palais, Clash City Rockers, Career Opportunities (the studio version is pretty weak, but any live version I've heard with Joe singing really kicks).
Personally (as a guitarist), I love playing/singing Career Opportunities, really exorcizes any work frustrations at the end of a hard week!

I've always liked "Train in Vain". If you can, get Clash on Broadway. It's a 3 CD set with most (but not all) of The Clash's songs. Yes, I have this, but I can't recommend it enough.

London Calling's a good one. There's also another one I like, but I can't remember which one. I'm not really a big Clash fan, but they made some decent music.
