I've never gone into my husbands wallet unless he gave me permission. Like when he has to hospitalized I do then without his permission to get his insurance cards. And I quit carrying a purse when it was stolen.

I don't have a significant other but I always go into my friends bag. I usually look in it and while I'm looking in it for now apparent reason I ask "can I look through this?"
but at that point, what's the point of asking?

yes. like someone else said, we have trust in each other. i dont exactly go in peeking tho to see if i can find anything hidden, i will go in it to get something i need out of it. we have been together 5 years in may. we have nothing to hide from each other and all the money is shared anyways.
