white gold does have a tinge of yellow "gold is yellow," achieving white gold is attained by the metals that are added to it.
9ct gold is more white because more metals are added to bring down the carat (they are rodium plated when new)

well - it's 18kt white gold - it's not pure gold...just 75%. There are other metals mixed in to create the 'white' in the gold. Gold is usually yellow I think. My jeweler has told me that my ring would need servicing every year or so and they would do it for free. Cleaning, polishing or re-finishing the 'white' rhodium plating.
Also I've heard that different people's skin reacts differently to metals and your chemistry may turn metals a different color or the metals will turn your skin a different color.
Either case, you'll need to go back to your jeweler. hopefully, they will take care of it for you.

White gold is not necessarily white. It would be an alloy (ie yellow gold mixed with other metals) or rhodium plated.
The plating will last depending on the thickness of the plating and the conditions that it was applied under.

Do a search for "White gold yellow diamond engagement ring" on Google. They list several rings with different prices.

I saw a question on this same sugject a few weeks back and one of the answers was that there's no such thing as "white" gold - it is all dipped and needs to be redone every now and again. However, three months does seem a very short time.

I would take it back to the shop you got it from, and ask them they will be able to put you right. I wouldd'nt have thought it should be going yellow, you may have something in your skin that is making it go yellow or if you think you have been ripped off did you buy it from a reputable store or from somewhere else? good luck.

Check on the inside to see if it has a hallmark. If it has not then the chances are that you have been diddled. Take it to where you bought it for a refund. If no joy threaten with trading standards and mean it. Best of luck.
Happy New Year

You haven't been ripped off. All white gold turns a yellowy shade after time.
