Superman is the obvious choice, but history tells another story. As far as the ones I know of, when the worlds finest have come to blows, Batman has won a good majority of the 'fights'. In 'Dark Knight Dark CIty' Batman assumed ownership of Luthor's K-ring. Supes tried to get Bats to turn it over, but Batman wanted to keep it just in case. The ring is currently vaulted in the batcave. During 'Hush' Poison Ivy took control of 'Super'man, so the gloves were off. No holds barred Supes was out to cook the Bat's goose. Arial attacks with heat vision, bringing down sections of the sewer. The bat still prevailed with his wonderful toys, and the ring. Supe's senses sre his weak spot, if you know how to exploit them. Remember Batman is paranoid, so he no doubt has a strategy to take out each and every member of the Justice League, just like Max Lord. Earlier this year, or late last, a more powerful future Superman came into the batcave through a boomtube, after defeating current Superman(weakened by Metallo's kryptonite attack) Future-Supes turned on Batman. Batman had his belt snatched and smashed. According to the F-Superman Batman had routinely cleaned his clock with brains and the belt. Batman is continuously underestimated because he is 'just a man'. THAT is his biggest advantage. Maybe someday a compassionate writer will LET the Kryptonian win.

I can hear the next JLA meeting...
"Way to go Superman, you beat up a guy with no powers. Feel like a tough guy now?"

Even in victory...Superman loses.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Superman, If Superman knew he was going to fight Batman he would get to Batman before he could get his hands on some Kryptonite. I am a fan of the Dark knight but Superman is pretty much immortal and Batman is only human.

the only way Batman could win have been if he have been to have some kryptonite like he did in a 1991 comedian version killing Superman in yet another destiny. Now regardless of if that destiny became commerce or no longer, all of us be attentive to (with a bit of luck, LOL) that Superman's is greater suitable than susceptible with kryptonite so anybody could kick his *** below those circumstances, LOL. different than that that is impossible. to place the latter into attitude, in accordance to comics (i'm feeling like a comedian-e book geek now, LOL) I remember examining one the place Batman punched Superman on the chin (over some gentle difficulty whilst they have been partnering on some thing) & Batman SCREAMED breaking his hand; Superman then pronounced, "you're fortunate I took that...", LOL.

Physically, Superman.

Mentally, Batman. However, Superman is quite intelligent too.

superman would win because he's not human and has a lot of powers. i mean superman could just set batman on fire. but if batman had kryptonite then batman would probably win.

lets not forget superman's humblesness. he gave batman some krypotnite to put in his utility belt in case he ever started ot gt dangerous. batman could easily whip that out and weaken superman pretty badly.

Batman, because he is smart and resourceful. He will know how to defeat Superman with his resources and brains. Most likely he will be using kryptonite some how, some way.
