It really depends on where. My first piercing, lobes, I was terrified, but it didn't really hurt. Second time was easier, cause I wasn't scared. Third time didn't hurt either. Then I got a piercing in my cartiledge, which actually didn't hurt AT ALL, but it was much more sore and painful afterwards. Years later, that third piercing and cartiledge piercing grew over (took the earrings out for too long). One side repiercing the lobe, not even a pinch. The other side repiercing the lobe, was like a bee sting! The repiercing of the cartiledge wasn't that bad. Several more years later, I don't have my cartiledge piercing anymore cause it wouldn't heal or stay not infected. I don't have any of my piercings anymore cause I've had my earrings out for over a year. I may get them pierced again if I get money. Weird thing, when I get a piercing (I would only ever do my ears) or a shot, it's like I have a rush of adrenaline afterwards, I feel kinda high and happy.

If you mean on the cartilage (sp) yes it hurts. Some people have no problem healing. While others never do heal.
