What is this preoccupation with Jackson? He created a trilogy of films that was well crafted, but look what he had to work from, classic litrature. Not to mention the thousands of artisans that created the worlds. His direction was a small part of a LARGE production(s).
I thought King Kong was WAY too long and not as entertaining as the original. Ever see Frighteners? GREAT premise, but Jackson killed it.
Don't get me wrong, the man is talented. Forgotten Silver is a scream and his first film, Bad Taste is a hoot to watch (especially seeing Jackson REALLY skinny and young).
It is highly unlikely that an "amature" will direct this feature(s). Gimme a break with all this fanboy crap. A petition works with governments because they are legal documents for change. Doing it to a [privately owned] studio is a complete waste of time.

As much as I liked Peter Jackson's LOTR, I can understand why he may not want to persue The Hobbit. The Hobbit is not a strong a story as the trilogy and would seem somewhat of a letdown in comparison to his epic work.

they do in basic terms no longer choose for his or her information for the earnings from Fellowship of the hoop to be scrutinized. New Line replaced into attempting to hold Wing Nut videos over a barrel, via saying if in basic terms Peter could settle the case, then he could get to direct the movie he has continuously wanted to do. it in basic terms sucks that the studio can no longer do the suited ingredient, particularly once you already know that LOTR replaced into pretty effective and any prequel replaced into certain success.

What had Jackson done before LOTR? Maybe the next amateur will do a good job.

I wouldn't mind seeing "Hobbit"..., But riot?
I'd smash in YOUR windows first. Rioting is for LOSERS. It solves NOTHING, and makes damaged properties CHARGE US MORE for services. Are you stupid?
