SRV, just because he was great. He used to play until his fingers literally cracked, then he would super-glue the cuts back together, and keep on playing. Muddy Waters, Hendrix, and John Primer are all good.

Blind Willie Johnson. he wasn't a musical genius like some others, but he is killer. he is amazing.
agreed about clapton for blues rock. he's kind of boring, but it's impossible to deny his crazy mad ability.
