Hi, I'm trying to rememer a sitcom in the mid 1980's, but I have no idea what it as called. As far as I remember on the staging of the set, there was a couch in the front, and a stairwell in the back that led to the upstairs. The stairs were from the bottom right walking to the top left (similar to Married with Children). It was a comedy sitcom. If you can give me a list of the sitcoms during this time, that matches the description, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

sounds kind of like the Cosby Show, or Charles in Charge to me. At least, that's all that comes to mind.

Family matters and Rosanne were in the 90's. Cosby's, is what I'd have to go with or even a stretch, the Bob Newhart show?

The workplace or Scrubs. they're the two imaginitive, and roll out the jokes/gags returned to returned to returned. that is non-give up laughter from placing out to end. Older sitcoms, especially from the 80's, are humorous yet take too long between jokes.

All that really comes to mind for me is Family Matters. But maybe with a few more details about the show I could get it.
