THE elite are in power and always will be until the people themselves say enough is enough , how can anyone expect people who was born with a silver spoon in their mouths to understand the poor and disadvantaged? if the people don't demand a change why should there be any as the rich are not going to give you a damned thing unless they know they have got to, or else it will cost them their head, take a look at what they did in Mindanao they helped those people get into a business and make a decent living with a few amenities to boot. get smart the squeaky wheel is the one who gets the grease.

As what I've seen the Philippines is the worst. I'm a Filipino and I spent a large part of my life working in different Asian countries. I can say the Philippines has the most corrupt government that I've seen. This is the reason why the Philippines is left far behind in comparison to other Asian countries. As an example, just look at Vietnam now. After the Vietnam War ravaged most of the country for more than a decade, it has recovered. Now its economy has surpassed that of the Philippines, and it's becoming an economic tiger.
Truly, wide-scale corruption is the primary reason why the Philippine economy doesn't improve. If it stays this way, then no hope for progress.
