It's an excellen book!
Anyone read it? I loved it, just want to know if anyone else has and what their opinion of the series is thus far.
And if you've read as far as the most recent book, "Meeting at Corvalis", do you think there will be a 4th book?

"Dies the fire" (by S. M. Stirling) is the flip side of his Island in the Sea of Time series. In that series, Nantucket gets thrown back in time 3,000 years. In this book, we see how the world copes after Nantucket is ripped from it.

This book will be followed by "The Protector's War" and "A Meeting at Corvallis".

The story focuses on two bands of survivors and largely revolves around Oregon. As is often the case with these types of books, the early part where people are learning to cope in the changed world is the best.

"A Meeting at Corvallis" book is a sequel to "Dies the Fire" and "The Protector's War".
