The RSS Channel Allows You To Easily Be Updated On Your Favorite Sites Via RSS, Or 'Really Simple Syndication'..
In The Case Of The PSP, You Can Follow Up On Site Podcasts, Which Are User-Made Productions For Entertainment Or News, Much Like Public Radio.
You Can Easily Download Current Podcasts And Even Video Podcasts From That Site..
Also, You Can Subscribe To 'Photocasts', Much Like Podcast, But The Updates Are Images..
To Get The RSS Channe Under The Networks Category Of Your PSP, You'll Need To Update Your PSP (1)..
Then, Use The Internet Browser (remember: a wireless connection is required to use the psp's internet capabilities) And Go To Your Favorite Sites..
If They Have An RSS Feed, Which Is Generally Found As An Orange 'RSS' Icon At The Bottom Or Sides Of Pages, You Can Easily Subscribe To It By Clicking It.
The PSP Will Ask If You Want To Add It To Your RSS Channel. Accept And When You Get Back To The RSS Channel, You Can Quickly Be Updated With The Site..
Note That Only RSS Feeds That Support Only Audio/Video/Photo Files Can Be Used On The RSS Channel. Anything Else, Like Text Updates, Currently Cannot Be Viewed On The PSP..
It Also Has Other Features, Like Being Able To 'Stream' The Audio Off The Internet Without Having To Download It And Have The PSP Automatically Turn On And Check For Updates On The Feeds And Download It, Without Having To Touch It!
If All This Just Went Over Your Head And/Or Need Additional Help, Don't Worry, You Can Contact Me With Your Question And I'll Try To Get Back On You On That..
Hope To Help And Good Luck!

First of all you will need a memory stick. I bought one PSP for my son last month - but it seems that the salesman did not know the product. He sold me the product without advising me about the Memory Stick. The prob is that now he is limited to playing only the games (fortunately two) only.
To help with your problem please find hereunder what I managed to get for you - Cheers & happy New Year.
"...Using the PSP® system’s RSS Channel feature, you can add link information to a channel list that will enable your PSP® to link to web pages that provide RSS or podcast-distributed content. Save RSS or podcast content to your Memory Stick Duo⢠and enjoy it on the go..." Anyway the PSP is meant to be portable. Hope you enjoy yourself.
