Most songs or "rap tunes" seem to be all about money and women and stuff like that. If you take a walk down the "rock and pop" road you get the same thing mixed with "I love you" and "If this can't work then I must cut myself".
There is no point. I could not name a band from 2000 on that will be remembered pasted the year 2010. I can't even name one of those now and I am 20. You have Coldplay. But really, come on. I think most people are already tired of them. The Killers? Too decade before last (80s). And I love that stuff don't get me wrong.

the internet killed it.. and so did kurt cobain.. after nirvana every radio station record company or promoter were always on the lookout for the next nirvana, and so with that whenever a new "scene" started to have some underground buzz everyone wanted a part of it causing mass commercialization in a mediocre scene using the internet as a source of cheap advertisment and the ability to reach more then the local radio station could. and if you want to find stuff that matters anymore you have to dig real deep, alot of my favorite music is positive hardcore where they take a look at a given situatioon in life or politics and try to say how it could be better, and they are always trying to better themselves as well, its very inspiring.

i agree with you completely but there are some "good" bands out there - you just have to find them. don't expect to turn on mtv or the radio and hear them... the only good thing about myspace is the music factor - pretty much every band in the world is on there now and it gives people a chance to hear music they would otherwise never hear. take some time and look around there...

the rock nn roll from the 1960's untill the very early 1990's has lasted the test of time not much beyond that has i mean come on rap wont stay around for muck longer, it flat out sucks
