I think if someone comes on here looking for answers to make them feel ok about whatever they're doing then they shouldn't be doin it...am I right?

Well yea, if I posted a question I want answers. I'll pick the question that I agree with. Whether or not they are telling how they feel it's somehow the right answer I guess. But in some ways yea, buttkissers get the best answer for a lot of people.

Yes probably when it is an opinion question. Unless the particular person happens to be unusually open minded, and becomes intrigued by another perspective (which is probably quite rare).
Or, if the person does not have any idea of what they want, then they may pick the answer that has the most in-depth reasoning, or reasoning that they can identify with.

No, when pplz choose to pick the answer they want best, is becuz they want to. Is thier opinion, so does it really bother you about it? Some of the pplz rely on other pplz answer to unstress them self. Sometime u could just use a compliment~ i dont think there is anything wrong to pick your best answer only because that person is telling them what they want.

im not really for sure. ive had some people say stuff that offended me and some stuff that has hurt my feelings but made sense and i have chosen them for best answers and told them thank you. I guess it depends on who you are and what u want to hear. sometimes i give best answer to whoever answers it first and correctly cause sometimes i need the answer right then at the moment.

there might b some like that but when i ask a Q, i choose d most logical explanation they could give..
let's b fair, there r really some yahooers who take tym 2 give u an honest answer... some though r just there 4d easy 2 points..
so i choose whoever deserves it!

Sometimes because their favorite person answers their question so the person pick him/her as best answer . But it is not worth if the favorite person doesn't answer him/her question yet can get as best answer. But the choice is at the person who gives out the question.

sometimes people want to know that they aren't alone in the world... and people get ballzy online and ask stuff they normally wouldn't ask face-2-face...
but not everyone answers honestly, or has good advice...
