So I have just started using indoor tanning beds and I am already frustrated and girls maybe you can help on this. I am using a high speed bed and going in for like 8 to 10 minutes. Well my whole side of my body just doesn't get tan. The front and back does, but not the sides. How to you avoid getting an uneven tan? Do you rotate in the bed? What tips do you have? I need help?

I usually go for about half my time with my arms raised. After I get a good color I start rotating in the bed. I don't know about you, but I get a white spot over my butt when I just lay on my back. Also, like you said, my sides don't really get tan. I try to lay a few minutes on my back, both sides, and my stomach. Also, are you using a lotion? It helps you tan faster with a better color and also keeps your skin moisturized. Good luck!

Super beds usually have bulbs distributed so that your body gets an even tan--that's why it usually cost so much more. You can check with the salon staff about other beds. You can move around in the bed, and I find it helps even my tan out. If the bed is big enough, lay on your side for some of the time. Raising your arms will also take care of some of the tan lines, but don't do it the whole time or you'll end up with a whole different set of tan lines. You should also check out the salon's selection of lotions which will help give you a better tan. As long as they carry high-quality lotions, you can choose a bronzer which will give you an "instant tan" without the orange color or streaks. One last suggestion is to cover up the tan areas for part of the time to give the white areas a chance to catch up.

Don't put your arms down by your side. If you have to have them at your side, then make sure your arms are up near the sides of the bed, leaving several inches between your body and your arms. Also, you always want to turn halfway through your session. For now, to try to "catch up" on your sides, then spend about 2 minutes on each side during your session. Don't spend more than that on your side because you will burn. That skin is more sensitive.
