No you don't have too but it's the safe way to do it. Paying the seller directly with credit card is not a good idea, you can get screw. You can open a Paypal account and use the credit card to pay for stuff through Paypal. That way if some dispute arises Paypal can intervene on your behalf.

If the particular seller accepts
credit cards, than no you don't
need PayPal. However, most sellers
don't take them individually so by
using PayPal they can. If you do
want to use a credit card, the safest
way is PayPal. The number isn't
given to the seller. You really don't
know who's on the other end of the
transaction.

For the most part people find pay-pal a much more secure way to transfer money and it cost the buyer nothing. But some 'ebay selling businesses' that will sell stuff for you on ebay for a fee will take credit cards. These businesses are becoming more and more popular.

you know, in the previous at the instant i could have been in a position to respond to actual specific...you basically get the sellers financial business enterprise account info and pass funds. despite the fact that I basically observed on the information that eBay are stamping out all replace charge procedures. curiously you're in straightforward terms going to have the skill to apply Paypal. I dont know while this comes into result, so which you're terrific off traveling eBay and sorting out the interest boards.

You can use your credit card, pay pal, bank deposit.. pretty much anything. When you find the item you wish to buy, just check the seellers preferred payments types. If they only want pay pal, then you'll just have to email them and ask if you could possibly pay another way.
Hope that helps.

It depends on the seller. Each auction should include the accepted forms of payment. Most sellers prefer paypal, but will accept multiple forms of payment. BidPay is also popular among sellers.
