If you haven't heard, he died earlier tonight. I remember him as being a simple, honest, and loyal man, who didn't do anything wrong during his presidency. My best memory of him is from his guest appearance in "The Simpsons" years ago when he moved in across Homer's house, inviting him to his house to watch football while eating nachos and beer. This characterizations sums him up perfectly.

He was a wonderful President/Man.

The Simpsons episode,along a skit I once heard on the radio.The were three actors playing Nixon,Ford and Carter.I can still hear Ford walking into a glass cabinet.

My best memories of him are when he stumbled and fell getting off a plane landing, and at president regans funeral, and being able to see that many living former and current presidents at once

I was very sad when he lost the re-election. On the lighter side, I remember he was quite clumsy, falling and bumping his head a lot.

Slipping on the steps exiting the plane. I always felt so sorry for him, watching that. Don't know what year but it was while he was in office.
