This is my first so not too sure-
I had my bloody show (brown-tinged mucus glob) at about 10pm..
and I have been getting contractions every 15 min. or so. and some very sharp cramps in my lower abdomen as I contract..these also go around to my back and are sharp enough to wake me up when I am sleeping..
My stomach keeps gurgling and I have had to poop like 3 times..
is this labor?????
I know I should call my dr. and I WILL but i dont want it to just be gas or something ridiculous-
bY the way - I am due Jan.2

Have you lost your water yet? And if you have had a BM 3 times already and the contraction are staying steady or getting closer together call your doctor and get to the hospital. Even if it is false labor it is better to be safe than sorry. I know I waited and almost gave birth on the way to the hospital. I delivered 5 minutes later. You would never forgive your self if you gave birth in the stool and the your child gets hurts. CALL YOUR DOCTOR!
Good Luck and Congratulations

Sounds to me like early labor. You still have time if they are 15 minutes apart. Do some walking as this will allow the baby to drop and speed up labor. Your intestines are probably upset because the contractions are upsetting them. If they are strong enough to wake you up they are labor pains and not braxton hicks. Congratulations I wish you all the best!

Could be labor, no need to call OB. Go to hospital when contractions are 5 min apart.

Losing your mucus plug is a good indicator that labor is near, if not already starting. Start timing your contractions and when they get a little closer together, if they're regular, call your doctor and see what he/she would like you to do.

It is very possible, but I wouldn't be alarmed until your contractions got closer together. Even at three minutes apart, it can take forever. If your water breaks... then I would call. Good Luck.

Congratulations, yes it is....call the hospital, they probably won't want you to come in until you are three to five minutes apart.

Sweetheart.....you are in Labor.....woo hoo....
