both, but if I find that I am talking with someone that doesn't talk much I know the only way to keep the conversation going is to tell them about me. I can also find out about them based on how they react to me.

I prefer to find out about them. I find just about everyone fascinating. Everyone has a story to tell and loves it when you act interested in their opinions and what they do.
I only volunteer information about myself, if they ask and I usually keep it brief. I feel if I say too much about myself, they might think that I'm in love with myself.
It's almost a fear. I don't want them to think I'm going on and on about myself, like I'm doing here.
Somebody shoot me!..Now I'm doing the very thing I try to avoid. TALKING ABOUT MYSELF. Yech!
I don't hate myself but it's just that I'm much more interested in others than just plain me.
It's not that I have anything to hide. I'm just humble. I guess.
You're probably thinking, "Yeah, right." Lol!!!
