We bought a 5 wheel click Ipod three years ago. Now it froze. Meaning every time, I do listening to music it stops and I can't turn it off nor can I play it again. It just sits frozen. I tried everything.

Also when I update new songs on the Ipod it automatically erases the songs that are on Ipod. My questions is do other consumers experiences the same problems that I have, and if so what could be done to make Ipod experiences more successful? Also why won't Apple admit troubles with Ipods and Ipod nano?

IPods have always been made to be somewhat disposable... Did you not notice that theres no way to replace the custom Lithium-Ion battery?

What do you mean they wont admit problems?

All flash-drive based memory (USB Keys, Ipods, cell phones) have a short life expectancy. With today's technology, the average flash memory chip has an life minimum expectancy of nearly 5 years, with a target of almost 10 years (and it is quite possible to go even further) but the point is that by the time that even happens, the Ipod the size of a tic-tac that sits in your ear and plays whatever song you think about will be out.

These (nor any other) flash-based MP3 (or any other form of Media) players are designed to be very long lasting. 3 years is a good run for an Ipod.

Because if they were to admit that there were flaws, Mac-users couldn't walk around feeling better than everyone else.
