Really it isn't your friends business if you stay or break up with your boyfriend. Your personal romantic life shouldn't have any thing to do with her in the first place. Granted you shouldn't have lied to her about the breakup but then again she must have made you feel insecure where you did tell the story. A true friend is a friend to the end. They can advise you but they should also respect the fact that you are your own person and won't always take their advice. Try to explain this to your friend and let her know your true feelings about this whole situation and see what happens. If she is a true friend then there won't be any problems anymore. She will respect your decisions and move on with a positive attitude. Hope everything goes well for you......good luck

Why you have to pretend? Coz your friend does not like your boyfriend? Sorry I can not tell from your short statement herein, but I hope I can do some helps. But I know lie is no good and should be discovered someday.

Stop lying. Talk to your friend and tell her how you feel. Is she trying to protect you for your boyfriend for some reason or does she just not like him?
Maybe you should all go out as a group and socialize & discuss it. Lay all the cards on the table, as it were, and figure things out from there.

Why would she be mad at you, its ur boyfriend. If she likes ur boyfriend, then get other friends. You get alot of friends, but usually only a few real boyfriends.

Let your friend know that this is your life not hers and that you will do what is best for you not her. If she dose not like your boyfriend find out why and maybe there is something that you can do to get her to see what you see in him.

If she is your friend she would understand. It's the matter of the heart. you got to do wat a gurl want to do! but about the love part i don't think it's love. yeah, how would i know, i'm just a stranger, but it's probably just LUST.
I also agree that you shouldn't have to lie to ur friend, just tell her the truth.

Whats it got to do with your friend ? Is he beating you up, and she's concerned for your safety ? Is he cheating ? or does the friend want him for herself ? Perhaps she's jealous of the time you spend with him and not her.

I get the feeling that there's not enough context here for us to truly understand what happened. I would say you should apologize to your friend for lying to her. Please include more information so we can give you further advice.
