I own a shop, and "IF" I had done a job like that, I would expect to be sued. Who ever did your pump needs to take it back apart and find what they did wrong. The pump and the float assembly are all connected inside your tank. Please see my answer for the other question of the same.
Glad I could help you. Good Luck!!!

I hate to be the one with more bad news. The latest thing is putting regular gas in the tanks that is suppost to have mid-grade and Hi-octane. You won't notice it right away if you only add a few gallons, but you will notice a slight loss of power and you may start hearing a knocking sound when your gas mixture finally ends up being all regular. They say to avoid that go to a stations owned by the oil company, why? so you can pay more all the way around and still get regular when you want a high grade. I don't know how you could check it. Maybe some one who reads this will know.

This should be an intank fuel pump/meter combination. It is either installed wrong or is the wrong one for that car. When you turn left the pump is unable to draw gas and the car dies.

If your fuel pump is also in the gas tank, take it back to the mechanic and have him re-align the float. He might have force it in that it probably bent the float.

Sounds to me like the mechanic screwed up the sender in the process of taking it out with the pump, or putting it back in. Take it back and say HEY!
