I actually went through something like this when I was pregnant and it turned out to be because I was pushing too hard. Just relax and go to your doctor and see what he/she says, if your doctor wont do anything try to find a new doctor and possible report him. BEcause if something is seriously wrong with you and he just writes it off as nothing it could hurt you in the long run. Good luck Carmel.

Red blood noticeable on outside of stools usually means you have a Hemorrhoid. Stop pushing so hard to go to the bathroom, stop rushing when going to the bathroom, and be sure you are drinking the proper amount of liquids. To make your stools a little softer than normal (to make going to the bathroom easier without straining or pushing so hard), go to the store and buy a cereal that has a high fiber content. I know of one that has about 14 grams of fiber per bowl and the cereal still tastes decent. Forgot the name of it at this moment. Eat a bowl of that cereal once per day if possible. Then, purchase hemorrhoid suppositorys. Use one (at least) 3 days out of a week until the signs of blood are gone, or just follow the directions on the box.

alright im probably the best at answering this for someone on the net whos not a doctor. okay ive had problems with my bowels for the past year. ive been really stressed out any everything but blood in your stool is a very very bad sign and you should visit your doctor very soon. the best advice i can give you since you dont like your doctor and ive had tons of problems with crappy doctors who dont give you the attention you need to find out the problems is to find a docotor that your comfortable with. it may take you a couple tries. if its a lot of blood then thats bad and you need to go to a gastronoligist(you have to be referred from your family doctor). i had to have a colonscopy to figure out what was wrong with me . i bled because i had torn myself because of being constipated and passing large hard stools. could that be your problem i dont know. go to your doctor soon. also make sure to drink your 8 glasses it will help you have softer stool.

Blood in stool is a serious problem, so go to a doctor right away. It might be caused by stress, but it may also be caused by something serious that needs to be looked at right away. Go to a different doctor if yours is a loser.

It could be polips. Little blood ulcers around the side or just inside the bum, burst when you do poos. And I'm pretty sure stress does cause this. You will need some cream, so go and see your G.P and let them Know. This is very common. Good Luck

It could be from something as simple as hemorrhoids to something as serious as cancer.
It does require investigation ASAP.
Change your doctor to someone who is willing to listen to you, and actually has the time to handle your issues.
This is YOUR HEALTH we're talking about!!
Don't let your doctor ignore this, but consider changing your doctor!

I can't tell you what it is from, but I can tell you it is not always a huge concern but it is a sign you need to see a doctor Immediatly, you should also consider getting a new doctor if you are not wanting to go she him. My suggesting is to go to WebMD.com and enter in your symptoms
