I think that is a load of hogwash.
People (and not just men) cheat for various reasons. Some do it because they can, some for the thrill or ego boost, some because something is missing in their current relationship, which they get with the "other" party, some because they are unhappy but too scared to talk to their partner (possibly they don't really want to break up, but don't want to hurt their partner either by telling them what is wrong), others cheat because they are dogs, and simply do not have the balls to tell their partner, or break it off.
Remember, it takes 2 to tango! If you are cheated on, chances are the relationship is not right!

When I was younger I was very sexually promiscuous. I will admit that I cheated on almost all of my girlfriends alot! I was young though, and didn't really know what love was. If I did, I wouldn't have done what I did, because I wouldn't want to hurt anyone like that. That being said, now that I am older, the last three relationships I have been in, I have been honest and faithful. They have all been long term relationships spanning at least 8 years. I honestly think, the reason was because I got alot of it out of my system. I have also come to learn that sex with someone you love is actually better. They care about you, so you don't have to be self conscious, they are more willing to experiment and when you are with someone for awhile they learn what pleases you, which is great. It really depends on the maturity of the guy. He can be 55 and if he hasn't matured he will still cheat. A guy can be mature at 21 and stop cheating if he has had that kinda past.

Yeah, I have had the benefit for this question of seeing a man like that, and I know the guy very very well and he said he did it to get it out of his system. He's married and very faithful to his wife, and regrets what he did as a young guy these days (but he never cheated, just promiscuous in the past before he met his wife). I don't necessarily think promiscuous = cheater. i wouldn't say there's a set-in-stone reason for why men cheat just like there's not a set-in-stone reason for why women cheat. It's just a personal flaw in their character due to some factor (born that way, stress drove them to it, etc etc etc) which doesn't make it right in any way, but merely explains it. Personally, when I'm in a relationship I don't even "window shop", if you catch my drift. My partner covers my needs (physical or emotional), whatever they may be and that's what makes me happy; if she doesn't and we can't work something out then she's not for me, then it's GAME OVER and I move on. Some people (not just men, in my life I have known more women than men who cheat actually, which I guess is backwards from "the norm") I guess would rather have their needs met by someone they haven't committed to I guess?

No, it's not true. There are people in this world that cheat, and ones that don't. It's the same reason women cheat. People have different morals, and different levels of willpower. If someone cheated before, it's definitely likely they'll cheat again.
Even if your friend's not-so-valid theory were correct, who's to say that you would be the girl he wants to settle down with? Perhaps you are just one of the girls in the middle of his sexually promiscuous phase.

This is all highly subjective, depends on the partner, relationship etc. However it is mostly quite the opposite to what you have said. That is false information womanizers spread to deceive women. I suspect this male friend Lothario is trying to gain your trust, so he can shag you quick (sorry for the c.ock-block, mate).
Promiscuous men are far more prone to cheat, as they have already learned the skills to attract and seduce women and have lower inhibitions about doing so. Bear in mind, most heterosexual men crave multiple sex partners and are only held in check by a thin veneer of civility, force of will (morals, beliefs etc.) or lack of opportunity and available female partners.
Hope that helps clarify things.

They are afraid to commit to a loving relationship.Anyway they also like to have sex with as much girls has they can. Who's the real ho? Think about this for awhile, and you will see what i am telling you. A Friend.

No, a hound dog is just as likely to cheat as a guy with little experience. It depends on the person.
Men cheat because women let them get away with it. Women stay with men who cheat, and other women sleep with married men.

People (not just men) cheat because their is a lack of something in the relationship and you're searching for it elsewhere. Some men may be that way but not all men.

Why do women cheat? There are hundreds of pop theories on this subject. No one knows why people cheat. Perhaps, sex is such a pleasant activity that you want to do it whenever an opportunity offers itself. Here is another pop theory: if someone is given a guarantee that he/she is never found out, he/she is more likely to cheat.

I believe that men who are sexually active do tend to cheat more than men who are less sexually active because they know that they can get what they want and will get what they want. Unlike men who are less sexually active who want it but can't seem to get it like more sexually active men!
