i don't understand this we shell out 20 bucs for 2 movie tickets then another ten to 15 for popcorn and soda. then u go to buy the DVD and they charge u almost 30 bucs just for that then they put a copy right on the DVD so u can't copy it. then they come out with an uncut version of the same movie and make u pay that same 30 bucs for that one as well. so u have actually paid almost 100 dollars for the same movie but yet they call the down loaders the pirates

you made their point:

With all the money that goes into the movie theater experience and DVD purchase, imagine how much they lose by having people download for free. Then it spreads exponentially- the more people who download, the more movies get distributed, the more people who pirate.

That's not to say I agree with the outrageous prices that the movie industry has thrown at us in the past 5 years. I think it would be a lot more effective to just boycott the movies all together instead of reaping the benefits of someone Else's dirty work.
