The left Handel on the handlebars is the clutch. The right Handel is front brake. The gear shifter is located on the left side. Push down 5-6 times while rocking the bike back-n-forth. That puts you in the first gear. Pull in the clutch kick start the bike. Give it a little gas to rev the engine slightly. Then slowly let out the clutch and get you moving. When the bike is moving about 5 mph let out the clutch all the way and give it some gas, after you gowning about 10 mph pull in clutch and at the same time let off the gas the pull the shifter up one time with your toe. Now your in second gear. Contour The process till your in 5 the or 6 th gear each gear about 10 mph apart. The clutch disconnects the engine from the wheel, the gear changes the speed in relation to turns of the engine.

I would recommend taking lessons. There are several groups out there that provide motorcycle training. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation is the biggest one in the US, but some dealers and smaller groups have their own training schools too.
These classes take place over a weekend or so. They'll supply the bike. You will learn how to operate the bike one control at a time - first mastering the clutch, then learning turns, shifting, etc. Some of the classes even teach things like how to ride over unavoidable obstacles. At the end of the class, there's a test (both written and on the bike), and if you pass, you'll get your motorcycle license in many states.
Check with your state DMV or whatever other department it is that issues your driver's license. They will have a list of motorcycle classes.

first of all you need to make sure it's in neutral-Hold the clutch and step down on the gear shift untill it bottoms out, then click it up half a step. Roll the bike a titch to see if it's in neutral, it SHOULD roll.
Next use the kick start to start her up, you may need to gas it up a little.
Pull the clutch completely in,
push the shift lever down to put it in 1st.
give her a little gas
let off the clutch slowly maintaining a steady low amount of gas
once the clutch is completely out gas her up more.
to shift to 2nd pull the clutch all the way in, pull up on the gear shift lever, let off the clutch more making sure you have it gassed.
Repeat as needed.
To shift down push gear shift down w/ clutch engaged.
when coming to a stop make sure it's either in neutral or you have the clutch in.
HAVE FUN!

Take an MSF course. If you think you can learn to ride, actually RIDE a motorcycle from an internet Q&A, then you are destined to die a horrible, scraping, bloody, splattered death at the expense of taxpayers and your friends.
Take an MSF course.
