sometimes over qualified people will take a job they only intend to keep unitl something better suited to them comes along. employers are afraid that the time and money they invest in that employee will then be wasted.

Yes, however since most work is not considered permanent, and when a person is willing to work and that is the only work he may be able to find at this time, he should be given a chance to earn the funds he may need. When there is an opportunity open in his field of expertise, he should be free to terminate, and the less educated person that qualifies, can then replace him/ her. There should not be a discrimination, against education, or how much, makes one overqualified .Is this person able to do this work, should be what qualifies him/her Even the less educated look for a better place, where they can advance, and quit in order to get it. Good luck on your composition.

It is possible. Employers might pass over an over qualified applicant for many reasons, including the possibility that the person could become bored or start demanding higher pay/a better position since they are trained for more than that job.

yes it is possible. my boss was telling me that becasue he had two masters that he was not selected for a job. also with clerical workers it is possible, they like it when you have some experience but not too much for they can train you their way!!
