James Brown!!!!
There should be a lot of ladies in their sunday hats, fanning themselves and fainting.
Much more entertaining.
Although if it were George Dubyas Funeral, I would be leading a parade down Main Street.

This is tragic it is not a competition. Gerald Ford was once Commander in Chief and helped to end the Vietnam war. He was very important to the country obviously. Not so obviously though was James Brown's importance. People saying "jailbird" and "he beat his wife" don't realize this man influenced all popular music. Michael Jackson, Prince, even The Rolling Stones idolized him. James Brown, at a time when black people in this country were constantly being told they were worthless he stood up and sang "Say It Loud, I'm Black And I'm Proud". He was proud and courageous and a dynamite performer. I'm not saying he was better than a former president, but he has influenced things in my life more significantly than Gerald Ford. I am saddened by both passings.

I think it's sad that the death of James Brown is getting so much more press attention than the death of a President.
Yes, James Brown did advance entertainment on a certain level, but Gerald Ford was a President. And, he was a President in an era where his term was not surrounded by controversy, but by virtue of how he ran the country.
I won't watch either funeral - I've been to too many in my life. But if you was whose funeral should get more press attention, it should be President Ford.

James Brown - because he was a great musical innovator, and one of the greatest Americans of the 20th Century.
Gerald Ford was a hack politician who happened to be in the right place at the right time - who cares about him?
James Brown, on the other hand, was loved by millions and had a permanent impact on the culture of the whole world!

Gerald Ford because I met him once because he came to my school. Freakin' awesome dude...really sad to see him go. *cries hysterically* I'd prolly watch James Brown's funeral too though, but I'd prolly flip through channels though. I liked James but Gerald is just a bit more important to me.

Good question but if I had to choose, Gerald Ford. He was President of the United States.
Also, I don't think he ever beat women or did jail time.
