Yes, slavery still goes on in the world today. I don't believe any race is exempt from the practice.

The largest numbers of slaves today are Africans enslaved by other Africans, and Asians enslaving other Asians. There are also many other slavery-like practices, such as trafficking in persons, elsewhere in the world, including in the US.
