i've had this problem for a while now.......i hate it. i have a nose earing. a little diamond it's not real it cost like $2. it's a dark spot that has become very noticeable. i'm very consiansious ( i spelled that wrong i know) about it. i try to cover it up with make up but you can still see it, even in pictures. is there any creams out there that will clear it up. when i buy a nose ring its not dark, but after wearing for a while it turns black, is the nose ring causing my skin to turn black or is it the other way around. and i cant take if off and leave it off, it would be even more noticeable. i just wouldnt be a ble to do it. help please

what is happening is the oils and acids in your skin corrode the cheap metal of the cheap nose rings you buy. buy better material and this probably wont happen anymore. look also that the ring is hypo-allergenic. i suggest gold because silver (even pure silver) can still make your skin black or green. anyways, when you switch to the better ring it will clear up in time. try to keep make-up off it tho cause that only makes it worse. Oh yeah, one more thing...keep it clean often with alcohol

I have the same problem, my nose ring spot looks like a little bruise. You can't really see mine unless I take the ring out, so now I'm scared it will be there forever! I asked the piercer about it and he said just to keep cleaning it and it would go away. If you get any other good answers though, let me know. I want mine to go away too!

take off the nose ring, and cover up the spot with makeup. It should clear.

Your skin is oxidizing the nickle in your nose ring. If you can, buy an 18kt gold stud or nickle free nose ring and try that.

your nose ring is junk.
dont be cheap when it comes to something youre sticking inside of your face.
buy a better... higher quality one. and it will clear up.

you need to put the money into either a gold one or surgical stainless steel......go ahead and get a more expensive one you will be much happier with it.
You might need to add iron supplements to your diet too....that affects how our skin reacts with certain metals....I have 18k gold rings that do the same thing at times.
