from the look on your avatar I would say step #1 is calm down. Good Grades aren't all there is to life. I know how you feel I stink at taking tests even though I know the stuff. Trying is definatly a start but sometimes a bad grade can't be helped, but its not nessicarily you. I'm not trying to blame anyone but the public school system and private school system for that matter is pathetic. If you think you know the stuff and you keep getting bad grades maybe you just don't do well on tests. If thats the problem then make sure you stand out when you aren't taking a test. Show them that you are a genius at the subject and that the D on your test doesn't mean a thing. If you don't feel like your getting it maybe you should look into getting the teachers to explain it to you in further detail maybe after class. I know that I am very good at math and would be glad to help if you need help in that area. This is the theory behind Sylvan Learning center. They take a one on one approach and it works. So if you just don't get it don't waste time pouring over textbooks that you can't understand find some1 to explain it. If you Do get the information and you are a good test taker and you still get bad grades then try to learn from your mistakes. Make your weakness your strength. You can't work toward perfection if you don't make mistakes. But most of all don't get discouraged. Anger is good it spurs you on, but when you get down in the dumps your grades will certainly not improve. I hope I've been helpful, if you need help in Math, I'll be glad to help there, maybe even on other subjects if I know enough about them just shoot me an E-mail. I wish you the best of luck.

Fix up a routine for your daily activities with gradual increase of study time.

Keep in mind about your exams you have to strictly follow that and never think that you have time so you can defer the routine.

Work hard on the subjects you are weak and less on those in which you are confident.

Forget about about all ceremonies and festivals, friends and relatives, TV programs and chats and have one thing in your mind that you have to do well. This is help ONLY and not anyone else. If you get poor marks, your parents would be sad that all, but they will not be effected. It is only your benefit, your success that would lead you into a smooth and happy life. Think about your future seriously.

Given that you don't have any mental or learning disabilities. First ask you're teachers to assess your grades and find the point you are weakest and strongest. You start there. Once you have made an assessment build a studying technique where you focus on the weaker parts but still have some time for you're strong points.

Maybe you're not a good test taker. I know i'm not. I mean do you do well on your homework cause if you don't that could be a reason. Maybe you have a learning disability, see a doctor. I'm not sure. Maybe you should find a different way to study.

Goodluck.

How are you at testing? Do you get good scores? If so you need to discuss your grades with your teachers. It may be something as simple as class participation.

Tell them you would like to raise your grades by at least one full letter point. They will recognize you are interested and that in itself could help.

Ok first, are you sure you don't have a memory problem? I know a friend who had a similar prob and it was because of her memory......she then tried a pile of memory techniques and found one that worked for her. I'm not sure if this will help out at all but i thought I would try. Good Luck!

Do you not test well? You might consider getting a tutor. A lot of times it's just that you lack confidence or just a slight misunderstanding of what's going on.

Ask your teachers to give you extra help. Maybe you need a tutor. Maybe you have a learning disorder.
