If you are in a relationship, do you have a lot of outside friendships that are separate from your spouse?

Do you, or would you be bothered if your spouse was jealous acting about your outside friends and acted like you did not need them because you are in a relationship with him or her?

It's very important to keep your friends outside the relationship -absolutely. If you lose all your friends bc your with your girlfriend/wife then when you brake up your friends will be gone and you will be all alone.

We all need friends. If she can accept that then she is to controlling, insecure or even worse...

I have plenty of girl pen friends all over the world and we even send gifts to each other and my spouse know all of them and even speaks over phone to some friends.
I am telling this because I want to share the important thing in relationship and that is Transparency. If you do not have any bad intention in mind , you can easily introduce your friends to your spouse and they will never loose faith on you. But if you want to do something secretly that will increase the anxiety within you and disbelief if you are caught someday. So be free and frank with everything you do.

i am extremely anal about my personal freedom. i will undoubtedly have friends of my own before i meet my future husband, and i will probably meet and become friends with people he doesn't know well. i reserve the right to see them and be a good friend. if he has a problem with that, well.... that's his problem. he can learn to trust me and deal with it, or he can let it break us up. if he can't let me be who i am we obviously don't have much of a relationship at all.
