I loved it - but my son thought it was scary - he was about 8 at the time it came out, he jumped out of his skin, when Worzel took off his head, he even had a worzel gummidge doll, with changeable heads for xmas, wish I had it now!

It's actually Worzel Gummidge, and why do you doubt it's poularity? Surely it's just the same as classics like Baywatch, A-Team, Knight Rider, Air Wolf, Dukes Of Hazzard, SuperTed, Transformers...

All of which are up there in cult-classic-dom.

I used to love watching John Pertwee(Worzel)But would love to see Stig of the dump again!!

The Harvester restaurant chain for one, used to proper freak me out as a child. What on Earth were those life size balloon blowers all about? where the air came out his finger, if it came out his arss or his ear now that would be somewhat entertaining! Lol.

This was a great show. My kids loved it and I remember reading the book when I was at infant school some 50 years ago!!!

differnt generations that does it . i know i loved it as a kid never missed an episode. kids now av too much violence to choose from on tv , saying that i suppose twisting your own head off might be classed as violent ! CLASSIC .
