Broasted chicken is better for you. Between the hot oil searing it and being cooked under pressure, very little fat actually gets into the chicken. Fried chicken just absorbs more of the oil.

Assuming both are whole chickens of the same weight and size, the fried chicken will have much more fat. To fry food you immerse it into hot, usually boiling oil to cook it, and while its cooking in the oil, obviously the oil (or even vegetable fat) will be soaked into the meat. I'm assuming you're talking about "roasted" chicken right? lol
If you don't add any extra oils to the chicken, and just put it into the oven to bake, the only oil that will be in the roast pan is the fat that has come out of the chicken skin. (chickens naturally, have fat in the first place) So overall, fried chicken will contain more fat.
Hope you didn't mind the explanations...

They both are fatty. But I would guess that fried is fattier. Neither of them are good for you. But hey I LOVE fried chicken. I like it without skin though. So if you make any kinds of chicken take off the skin. There is A LOT of calories in the skin!!! It's not worth it. Good luck and Happy New Year!!!

My customers totally preferred broasted over baked or grilled. In fact one whole night a week, broasted chicken was the special and the poor Broaster could barely keep up. For me personally, I'd make sure to have a healthy dish on the buffet for people who do watch what they eat so they have a good alternative. Because that's what I'd be looking for, but wouldn't take the baked or grilled chix.

Fried, definitely. The coating is the most fattening part of chicken.

I stopped at a 'broasted chicken' rest. in the middle of KS called Pattys. "What is broasted" I kept asking...the only answer I got was "...delicious." and it was.....Keep on broasting..(but you must have broasted chicken with a salad topped with french dressing and tinned black olives...)
