i think that people have become more politically correct, which i dont think is right because it stifles free speech a whole hell of a lot, people are getting a lot more stuck up and more immature about dealing with jokes

I am not sure the two go together!! Saying something to some one which is hurtful to that person and yet to expect the person just to lough has nothing to do with having or not having a sense of humour on the part of the receiver!! Its just like hitting someone and then expecting that person to lough!!! If he/she does then he/she has sense of humour!!!!!

On the other hand, we must not sonfuse between COMEDY and ordinary daily life. Comedy, which is an art of act intended to cause just loughter, is ACTING. The same goes with friends who know each other in teasing one another.

But daily ordinary life is reality. One should be careful in what one says; because what has been said cannot be taken back, otherwise it is questionable Who lacks sense of humour!!!???

this is tricky to tell if somebody is being sarcastic over the information superhighway. Or in the different sort of writing. Sarcasm has lots to do with tone of voice, which isn't transmitted by textual content.
