Does this person, or people, have to be current day, or can you be asking the 'Hottest of all-time'?
I'd say the hottest female recording artist of all time, meaning each 'in her day', was Connie Francis. Except Presley and the Beatles, there is no one who has ever sold as many recordings.
She was just absolutely immaculate with everything - even foreign language songs. ... and a truly Warm, female voice - absolute Perfect control.
She was just phenomenol!
My hottest female sports star of all-time would have to be Serena Williams.
She is purely SEXY!! ... she has it all, Man! ... and personality galore!
Yet I think the best player of all-time would be Margaret Court [nee Smith]. Title-wise, no one comes even close.
Among male players, the hottest ever, certainly perhaps the most exciting to watch was 'Roy Emerson'. He was 'Mr. Super-reaction', Man.
Funnily enough, even though with both singles and doubles titles, he still holds the record for the most number of titles, only a fairly small % of commentators actually acknowledge him as the greatest - yet he lived when there were quite a few other truly greats that he had to outshine.
So, you tell me - the fickle finger of fate!!
Besides Luciano Pavarotti, I would say my favourite popular musical show recording artist would be Gordon McCrae.
He had a truly manly voice and style that would certainly win the females, and capture the admiration of men. A voice of extraordinary breadth.
On the screen, it would have to Ingrid Bergman for females. What a beautiful, soft, classy finish she was!
Male actors: Probably Clint Eastwood - especially in those legendary cowboy movies of his.
Authors - contemporary?
I think you'd have to give it to JK Rowling.
Her Harry Potter books show true genius - through and through.
I think, historically, Charles Dickens certainly tells a good story.
