The bacteria that grows there creates that odor. Everyone has a different balance of bacteria that creates a different odor. I would recommend maintaining good hygiene, by washing everyday and changing your underwear at least once a day. DO NOT DOUCHE! Douching is actually bad for your pH balance and could make the odor worse. You should get some Playtex wipes, they are really handy and have a nice scent to them.

Normally, the cause of vaginal odors is from bad hygiene or vaginal infections. For better hygiene, shower daily and use feminine wipes and sprays often. If the odor still persists, then someone would need to see their gynecologist.

Build up of bacteria, yeast, lack of proper hygiene, or discharge collecting in there. Although it is said not to do, sometimes using a douche will clean things out in there really well. Just cant use it too much.
If it is something other than that, then an STD could be the cause and antibiotics are needed then.

PH levels in your body can be off. You could also douche(it helps a lot but only use vinegar and water) try going to doctor and asking OBGYN you may have yeast infection.Have you taken any antibiotics lately? If so that may also be the problem.Or your body maybe going through some kind of change.Just to be safe go see ur OBGYN.

normally there is physiological discharge from the vagina which is odourless or non offensive smell but if the odour is offensive then yhere will be any pathology underlies may be some bacterial or fungal infection which need some medical treatment according to cause from a nearest gynaecologist.
