Especially for anyone who's part of a company or corporation that goes through a lot of catridges and toner, what to do with the old ones? I've seen things advertising recycling or getting paid for them, like Office Max commercials, or some charities like Food for the Poor for instance, that recycles them and use the profits to support their own programs- (http://www.foodforthepoor.org/site/...... Is anybody familiar with any of these options, or know of any other beneficial solutions or things people do with empty cartridges, rather than tossing them into the garbage without thinking twice? It feels like a waste to throw them out when I see ways to, and organizations, that take advantage of what would otherwise be garbage.

in most instances in order to sell them to re-manufacturers you need a lot. I work for an organization that recycles cartridge and donates the proceeds to local food banks. In order for it to be worth the manufacturer while, we have to ship cartridges in batches of no less than 500.

Some places will give you money off you purchase if you bring in an old cartridge. That is about as good as it gets on the consumer level.

Staples gives a $3 off coupon for each cartridge, you could ask them or take the coupons to a school.

I don't know about where you live, but around here, we can give them to our local schools and they can turn the cartridges in and get money for them........
